URBAN NATURE
OCTOBER 15, TOGETHER WITH WWF TO GIVE ROOM TO BIODIVERSITY IN TOWNS
The first edition of the event is approaching. Urban Nature aims at creating a novel way of thinking of urban spaces, giving more value to nature, and promoting virtuous actions by administrators, communities, citizens, businesses, universities and schools to protect and enhance biodiversity. URBAN NATURE, dveloped by WWF Italy, in collaboration with the National Scientific Museums Association (ANMS) and CSMON-LIFE, encourages citizens to explore, and 're-build' the biodiversity of the metropolis. There will be several initiatives throughout Italy, with a core event in Villa Borghese, the 'green' heart of Rome, with guided tours, "treasure hunts" and green labs. Thanks to the cooperation of the Carabinieri Army, the event will close on the "Pincio terrace" with a concert of the Fanfara dei Carabinieri.
The virtual treasure hunt, realized by using the CSMON-LIFE App, will involve citizens in looking for several common and rare species, and other "symbols" of biodiversity, such as "Animals and / or plants in stone and paintings", which reveal how deep, ancestral and cultural our relationship with nature is. The winners of the "treasure hunts" will be awarded by beautiful prizes.
