Established in Rome in 1994, Comunità Ambiente S.r.l (www.comunitambiente.it) is a company with a long experience in the environmental sector with particular reference to the conservation of nature and the funding, in particular Community funds, of actions, projects and plans for the conservation of biodiversity.

The staff includes experts in the field of nature conservation, with long standing experience in the management of the Natura 2000 network and in the coordination of naturalistic projects, in the evaluation of scientific and administrative reports (including management plans of Natura 2000 sites), in the production of scientific and dissemination publications and in training and in planning in the context of EU funds in the environmental sector. In all these areas Comunità Ambiente is able to provide support with a high degree of expertise, thanks to the professional experience gained working in the public and private sectors.

Comunità Ambiente is a partner in two EU research projects: LifeWatch, the European e-Science infrastructure for biodiversity and ecosystem research that aims to provide advanced capabilities for research on biodiversity complex systems and Creative-B, a project that aims to support the coordination between the European research infrastructure on biodiversity and ecosystems and similar research infrastructures outside Europe.

Comunità Ambiente has participated to the production of naturalistic studies on species and ecosystems at European level and of national projects for Natura2000. This expertise allows the company to have a thorough and updated understanding of issues and policies, both national and international, related to nature conservation and sustainable development.
